In other news, we added 8 elementary munchkins to our cast yesterday, in addition to a few other high school students. We will be updating the Cast and Crew Page this week, but for now, we're going to go play in the snow!
Due to today's snow, the meeting for parents of The Wizard of Oz cast and crew members that was scheduled for this evening has been postponed until next week. We don't have a specific date yet, but we will update as soon as we get it rescheduled. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
In other news, we added 8 elementary munchkins to our cast yesterday, in addition to a few other high school students. We will be updating the Cast and Crew Page this week, but for now, we're going to go play in the snow! We will be holding open auditions for students in grade K-5 on Monday, January 5, 2015, from 3-5PM in the Adena Auditeria.
We only have 12 positions to fill (2 from each grade level), but we encourage any interested students to apply. Audition materials are available in the Elementary office, or you can download and print them on the Munchkin Auditions information page. Students need both the Audition Packet and the Tentative Rehearsal Schedule. If you have any questions, email [email protected]. After an afternoon of fantastic auditions yesterday, we're pleased to announce our Cast for The Wizard of Oz. You can find the current list posted on the Cast & Crew page.
We still have the following roles to fill:
There are also spots available in the following choruses:
If you are still interested auditioning for any of these parts, please see Mr. Drummond before Christmas break. That's right, auditions are today! Already this morning we've had a student tell us she is so nervous that she fears her "stomach will fall out [her] butt" and she'll run off stage due to her nervousness. You have to love the colorful descriptions students use. Auditions begin at 3:00 PM and go until 6:00 PM. If call backs are needed, we'll post that list on the blog after auditions are completed. If they are not needed, the cast list will be posted on the Cast & Crew page. We're pleased to announce our Technical Production Crew for The Wizard of Oz. You can find the current list posted on the Cast & Crew page.
We still have a few openings the following positions:
If you are interesting in any of the positions, see Mr. Drummond before Christmas break. The cast list will be posted on Wednesday, December 17, once casting is finalized. Attention All Adena Local Theatre Alumni:
We're looking for pictures from previous productions that we can add to the photo Galleries on our new web site. We have pictures from Play On!, Bye Bye Birdie, Cinderella, and Seussical, but we're lacking on all the other shows. We'll take digital or hard copies that we can borrow for a short time so we can scan them in at a high resolution. Productions we're looking for include: Annie (2002) The Little Mermaid (2002) The Glass Menagerie (2002) Beauty and the Beast (2003) Once Upon a Mattress (2005) You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (2006) The Long Red Herring (2007) The Pirates of Penzance (2008) Once on this Island (2009) Arsenic & Old Lace (2009) We'll also accept pictures from the other shows we already have. Let us know in the comments, or email us at [email protected]. Don't forget to turn in your applications for the Adena Local Theatre Technical Production Crew for our spring production of The Wizard of Oz.
Interviews for crew positions will take place after school on Wednesday, December 10th. First off, welcome to the new home of the Adena Local Theatre on the Internet! We hope that this site will become a resource for our students, parents, and community members as we work grow and promote our program. Please browse the site and give us feed back on how we might improve what we're offering here.
One feature that we want to highlight right of the bat is the Calendar page. This is where we'll post the rehearsal schedule, so book mark this page just in case you lose the paper copies we send home with the cast and crew. Next, take a look at the Galleries page, which will have photos from our productions. Currently, we have pictures from Seussical & Bye Bye Birdie posted, and the ones from Cinderella & Play On! should be posted within the next few days. If you happen to have pictures, either digitally or hard copies we could scan, from some of our other productions, please email us so we can get them posted. Check out the Production History page to see what shows we're looking for. After that, you can check out the Current Production page for information on our upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz. We are preparing for crew interviews and casting auditions in the next two weeks, and that section will be updated regularly as we rehearse the show. Finally, we'd love to have you partner in producing our shows by joining our patronage program. We work to avoid making our actors and crew members have to sell products to raise money. Many theatre programs across the county, both professional and educational, utilize a system of patron contributions as their main source of fundraising. This allows you the patron to choose your donation amount without feeling pressured to buy products you may not need or even want. If you are interested becoming a Patron, head over to our Patronage page where you can download the Patron Contribution form, or email us through the Contact Us page. Once again, thanks for visiting, and we hope you enjoy our new website. |
