"I can no other answer make but thanks and thanks and ever thanks." - William Shakespeare, TWELFTH NIGHT
We cannot begin to express our surprise and gratitude towards the Adena Local Schools community after the response we received to our production of THE WIZARD OF OZ.
This weekend was record setting for our program under its current director. We sold out two of the three nights of our run, and the night we didn't sell out was still 100 seats more than our most recent record attendance since 2003.
I want to take the opportunity to thank everyone who came to the show, and especially thank those who have taken the time to reach out to me to extend your kind words about the show back to our cast and crew. My goals for this program are to provide the students with quality opportunities to participate in all aspects of theatre arts and to provide the community with quality opportunities to see live theatre. This weekend was a perfect storm of those two goals coming together.
We hit a high standard this weekend, and it didn't all happen because of my work and the students' work. We owe a great debt of gratitude to the following people: June Kruger, Pete Ruby, Joy Stark, Shaune Anders, Jerry Drummond, Penny Lamb, Charlie Alexander, Hal Hardiesty, Nancy Hardiesty, Nathan Huff, Ben Buchwalter, Dustin Bethel, Lou Ann Drummond, Cindy Sykes, Arlene Acton, Kelly Conley, Monica Halm, Ashleigh Gallaugher, Eric & Cathy Givens, Craig Kerns, Julie Ferguson, Cassidy Drummond, Lauren Morgan, and Josh Hess. There are many more people who I need to thank, I'm sure, but these people came together in the last weeks of the show to really help me pull off the fantastic production you saw last weekend. And now our goal for next year is to live up to the standard we set this year!
Thank you again!
